Eyton School has recently been awarded its second Basic Skills Quality Mark. Basic skills can be defined as the ability to read, write and speak in English or Welsh, and to use mathematics, at a level necessary to function and progress both in work and in society. The Welsh Government promotes basic skills and life long learning. The school actively supports basic skills in the planning, teaching and evaluation of children’s work across the curriculum.
