Lower Key Stage 2

There are two Key Stage 2 classes made up from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 children. They are taught three core subjects; English, mathematics and science. They are also taught foundation subjects; Welsh, Design Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Music, Geography, History, Physical Education, Personal and Social Education and Religious Education.  The teaching staff also incorporate opportunities in their planning where the children can develop their personal, health and social awareness.  Opportunities to develop understanding of the Welsh language and culture are also incorporated into the planning and teaching of all the curriculum subjects.

Parents often ask about what their children are being taught during the term and how they can help their child to learn.  If you would like to find out more about some of the content in subject areas for Lower Key Stage 2 then please click the relevant area in the grid.  Parents are always welcome to discuss the topics in greater detail with class teachers.
