About our School
Eyton Church in Wales Voluntary Controlled Primary School is situated approximately seven miles south of Wrexham town centre. The school is set in the rural village of Eyton and is surrounded by picturesque rolling countryside. Eyton School began educating children in 1860 in the village Church and has since been extended to accommodate a growing number of children. The original Church building is now used as the school hall and canteen. The school caters for children aged 4 to 11; has afternoon nursery classes and also a very popular toddlers' club.

The school is well resourced and has three main classrooms, a technology room and an open library area. The staff and Governors at Eyton have recognised the importance of IC T within the curriculum and the school boasts a good ratio of computers per child and a well stocked library of CD ROMs that the children and parents can loan.
Our school's wide range of extra curricular activities was praised by Estyn Inspectors.
These include: fencing, Dragon Sports football, rugby and netball, cycling proficiency,
gardening, computer club and gymnastics. We have a before and after school club called
Eyton Extras, who organise activities such as: line-
There is a large playing field at the rear of the school which incorporates a superb Millennium Garden. The garden is used as a recreation area, an outdoor teaching area and by the school gardening club.
